Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India) is a non-denominational, non-government organization. AKRSP (I) was established in Gujarat in 1984 and it seeks to contribute to rural poverty reduction through community involvement and empowerment that leads to the efficient management and improved productivity of natural resources.
Position: Programme Specialist (Agriculture)
Location: Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh
Education: Postgraduate in Agricultural Sciences/ Rural Management with agriculture background
Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience
Remuneration: As per qualification and experience (40000.00 -50000.00 as monthly CTC)
Skills and competencies required to meet the job requirement:
• Sound knowledge in agricultural development concepts
• Proficiency in Hindi language with working knowledge of English
• Sound knowledge of computer especially Microsoft office and internet
• Willing to travel in remote location
• Willing to work with underprivileged communities.
• Excellent analytical skill and reporting skill
• Good liaison and communication skill
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide all required supports to team in agriculture projects.
2. Ensure timely reporting, monitoring.
3. Write case studies on agriculture work.
4. Introduce innovation in agriculture practices.
5. Develop communication material related to agriculture.
6. Prepare package of practices of all kharif, rabi and summer crops.
7. Training and capacity building support to the field staff
8. Liaison and reporting with Donors and Govt. Dept
