Prayatn Sanstha is working with the community on different dimensions of social issues through Natural Resource Management, Soil and Water Conservation and Sustainable Agriculture Development as a part of an integrated development initiative. The project also has Education, Health and skill development components. The project is being executed with most excluded communities in Rajasthan and Odisha. Through this initiative the organisation is trying to develop models of community owned and managed development processes. It is also using one theme as a tool to address the issues of other theme i.e. to address the issue of children labour organization is using livelihood development as a tool, in the same lines the organization is making attempts to address other critical issues like malnutrition through farm based and non-farm based livelihood, livelihood development through soil and water conservation etc. In all the initiatives the organization is closely working with the community, organize them, form their institutions and prepare them to address issues at their level through community-based systems and mechanisms.
This is a field-based position wherein the Project Officer will be responsible for successful execution of the project. The project officer will also be responsible to guide the team and ensure desired deliverables from the team. The position require intense field visits to monitor and support the field activities with the involvement of the team members and provide necessary support in execution of the project activities.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Implementation of project activities as per plan;
• Preparing different types of plans as per organizational requirement for smooth and effective implementation of project;
• Identify learning opportunities and document it;
• Coordinate within the team and with other institutions working with similar objectives;
• Identify training needs of the project team members;
• Provide onsite support to the team members during the implementation;
• Development of learning programs for the team working in field level;
• Report preparation and documentation;
• Monitoring and review of the project activities;
Candidate should have a Master’s degree in Social Work / Rural Development / Agriculture / Agri Engineering from a recognized university. The candidate should have minimum 10 years of working experience in development sector with specific involvement of at least 4 – 5 years into social mobilization, designing and conducting capacity-building programs for the rural communities and implementation of farm and non-farm based livelihood development projects. The candidate should have experience of taking issues for necessary convergence at various levels by working on and with children, communities, civil Societies and government departments.

o Should be a good and quick learner
o Should be willing to travel extensively within and outside the project area
o Should be willing to be posted at a block level / sub-block level place
Nature of Employment:
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to get associated with the organization for a minimum period of two years, which may be extended depending on the satisfactory performance and subject to availability of resources and continuity of the projects.
